So is the 2446 a stellar home application. Looking at Jerry Parkers question and the response, I wonder if this is the case and whether I would be better off purchaing the 4-pi 15" that contains the smaller JBL compression driver

I generally prefer most 1" exit devices to 2" throat drivers for two-way applications.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that -- becuase I just ordered the 2446H
for the 4-pi speaker. The 2446h is rated to 20,000 hz, is this going to be a speaker that lacks high end response??

Use top-octave compensation; That will help a lot.
