CSS has put together the first Sonotube subwoofer kit
that I know of.

Looks like a pretty cool place.

I meant that it was being shown at that Northwest Meet.

Creative Sound Solutions is the only place I know of that
has Jordan Speakers and some Tangband models not carried by
PE.

On the homefront (CSS is in Canada, I am in Wisconsin USA)
a test switch of drivers in the PVC boomtoobz has, I think
made a substantial change for the better. I swapped in one
of my FE127e's and am now comparing the sound of the RS 1197
(which has none of the modifications that have been mentioned
as tweaks) and this Fostex 127.

*pic*s available of the boomtoobz when digital cameras
get to be about eighty bucks or so.

Yeah, that's pretty cool. It's along the same lines as what Martin King is doing, which are transmission lines. But Martin said he's feeling a little put off by some of the stuff on internet discussion forums there days, and it's a pity. I completely understand, but hope to see him around again soon on the Single Driver Forum.

I'm sure that if there were questions I had for MK he would
answer them here as he has before. What I'm doing is experimenting
without much basis in theory. And luck. The first FE127
project was with the advice of the gang at full range driver
forum. I had 2 mini enclosures from a nakamichi R-1
mini receiver system. I took out the small woofer, plugged
up the port hole plus took out the backs of the Naks and
the FE127s fit like a glove.

Other mod is making new baffles for a small pair of
Speakerlab kits whose cabinetry is superb, but drivers... eh.
These were not well-known components. But I have since
read that Terry Cain did the building for some Speakerlab product.
So the cabs get fresh baffles and maybe, someday, Jordan JX92s'es.
The cabs are very close to the specs for Dr. Griffin's Jordan
design.

I still have to get the tools to do some scratch building.
