The JBL tent sale has 2402H drivers with 16 ohm 2405 diap. This per tech support is good for 6500 to 21500 cps. If I get an extra pair for the 4 pi (pro with Jbl drivers and a 2345 horn) where would one bring it on board (cross over point) tdc
Wayne, you mean you and others did all that series-parallel explanation to me for nothing! I guess I could enter the resistor necklace in a art show. Seriously, if I lose the necklace would I use a first order both ways at 8000 cps. tdc

You might keep the tweeter's compensation cable assemply; That way, if you ever want to put it back and run the system that way again later, you'll have it built and ready to go.
Wayne, I intended to keep it and try both arrangements. How could I sell anything it took so long to fiqure out. I still wonder if you have a recommendation about the slope for the 8000 cps x-over? tdc
cross using a 12dB/octave filter. Remember, those tweets are described as "tight pattern control, deep penetration, and extremely high ON-AXIS sensitivity". Your upper freqs are going to be in a narrow 40 degree beam...is that OK in your listening situation? Might want to look for some 2404's (the baby cheek tweets) that are wider dispersion. A search at HUG for jbl 2402 will also turn up some suggestions from previous users, IIRC. Sam
Thanks. I didn't know JBL had suggestions but will look for old posts. The narrow pattern is something I was concerned about. The Coral bullet ( H-70) in my Hitachi Hs-500 is equipped with a set of fins to spread the sound field. That idea was also used with the JKL potatoe masher so I thought I would give it a try.tdc
