Well all I can say is the 4Pi pro is one tight design. Not much room to jamb that big port 15" woofer and a big a!@ horn on to a itty bitty baffle. Funny how in your head everything is so simple and clear.
First I was going to double up the baffle to 2 pieces of 3/4"....not much point ...not much baffle once you lay it out....ok well I'll put some 1x2 braces on it to stiffen it up....hmmmmm no room once you take into account the lip of the woofer and horn flange...that and the port is 1 1/2" bigger on the od as it is on the id!!!!!! Looks like I will follow suit with the the other Piers who have blazed this trail before me and brace the crap out of the sides and back and run struts to the front....not many alternatives.....still can hardly wait to fire these things up....hehehehehehe....good thing the neighbor lady is deaf.

Illuminati (33rd Degree)

It's a tight fit, isn't it?

But it's small enough that its rigid.

Short and ridgid... [message #38014 is a reply to message #38010] Fri, 23 August 2002 05:28 Go to previous message
