I just gave my new Bosch jigsaw a couple of test passes thru some 3/4" MDF and All I can say is WOW!!!! I used to use my router to do the vast majority of my speaker construction cutting. Left nice edges but slow and a great way to make mountains of dust as I'm sure most everyone out there can attest to, but this thing flys thru the stuff in a faction of the time and mess. Well worth the cash. I'm chompin' at the bit to start my next project.

Also...since we all seem to be into building the biggest and best systems possible it makes sense to seek out the best material to play on them so I'd like to plug a band that gets serious air time around here. They are a Canadian band that has a ton of influences from Blues to Rock to Jazz to Raggae.
BIG SUGAR
Check out their "Heated" cd for a great mix job and a bunch of great songs. "Hemivision" features a probably the best job of getting the "Live" sound I've ever heard on a cd. And finally "Alkaline...Extra Long Life" is a Raggae dub album of a bunch of their previous material with most of the vocals tracks stripped out and the bass lines eq'ed up (ala Raggae) Check them out I'm sure you will enjoy!

I'm not officially a Pier yet but soon as the snow flies I will be starting on a set of Professional 4pi's with a set of 2235 subs (cross my fingers on the last part) and yes my Bosch model 1587 (this has been a paid endorsement) will figure promently in the construction. (I can't believe I WANT it to snow?????)
