I'm pretty sure it was drawn by Stan Mott and maybe Henry Manney III wrote the stories?
Anyway, I was reminded because I'm doodling with various 2Pi shapes, one of which has a spheroid cabinet with the Piezo peeking over the top and the woof smack in the middle. Like the "Cyclops"
All I have to do is cut 38 - 3/4" ellipses to laminate the 14 1/2" deep base! Alternatively, 19 - pies to make the Pi.
And then mount the tweeter on a stalk. Put the piezo in an wooden egg cup. Wouldn't need stands.
Anyone have opinions pro or con? Especially on raising the tweet on a stalk of some sort?

Hi Till,
Yes Stan Mott did the artwork, I'm pretty sure that Manney wrote the text too. They were hilarious stories. Since a Cyclops was shod with (one each) Goodyear, Firestone, Dunlop, and Mack Truck solid tires, a unique shape for your 2Pi boxes probably should look different!! I hope you try it, I'd love to see the pix.
Take care,
Steve

Normally, I'd want the tweeter and midwoofer close together. But your speaker sounds like a gas. Groovy baby, yeah!

Look up 'Swan' on the Single Driver website search engine. There might be one in the DIY section also. Truly zany. I mean that in a good way!
