Wayne, in the cases of huge concerts of 10K people or so, wouldnt the most feasible option to go with active crossovers instead of passive ones? In situations such as these, as little power loss as possible is key, correct? Bi or triamping the entire setup?

What would you do in that case? Just build like 10 pairs of some pi's but use completely active setups compared to passive? Also, using an amplifier on a driver such as a horn loaded compression driver - is it bad to go completely active, without ANY passive crossover elements? The reason I ask is because if the amplifier powering the horn clipped, it would send a ton of power to the horn, possibly causing it to fail? Is that correct? Thanks Wayne!
