I can tell a good horn loaded system from the next room, or even through a wall. This is obviously not due to imaging (although a good horn system can have good imaging) It's dynamic range free of distortion. The corner loaded Klipschorn bass response transcends simple frequency response. It makes a big wavefront that direct radiators are incapapable of. Richard Greiner once described the bass of a Klipschorn as "rolling across the room and you can pat it on the head as it goes by".

Got the Klipsch K43's in the Pi 7's. It's amazing how controlled the bass is. The next thing to get under control is crossovers.

Projects keep us youth out of trouble, right Till. How's the veneer going if you have your ears on?
