Well, not being one to leave well enough alone, I've been wondering about a HF motor upgrade to my Thermionic 3pi's. Actually a friend came over yesterday to have a listen to the new speakers and got me thinking about it -- thanks a lot Harry. So I'm wondering if I can swap out my Eminence PSD2002 motors for JBL 2426H motors. It looks like I can still keep the crossover at 1600hz. Has anyone tried this? If so, what would I need to do to get the thing in balance, and can the 2426 just be bolted on to the horn? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Wayne, will the 2426 deliver greater ouput and remain undistorted more than the PSD2002? I imagine it would... You know I'm planning a system with four 2426's, very pricey! Adam

Yeah, I must say I am growing fond of the sound of my 2002's. I think I just scored a pair of beautiful woofers from TC Sounds for my bass horns, and they'll be tossin out some serious output and I'll need a system to keep up with them :) Remember a while ago I posted that link to the plutonium, and said "how about THESE for some ten pi's"? Well, same 1200 ounce magnet, different design geared for sound reinforcement instead of car use... Adam
