Whew, the longer I sat thinking, the more ideas how to use them came to mind. Glad they won't be coming to my house afterall, JBL sent me the email kiss-off a while ago. Good luck to the rest of you guys, but at least my ass is not gonna be in hot water with the little lady :) Sam

I ordered early on the 15th and got a confirmation report that they got the order. Does that mean I got a pair or might I get the dreaded phone call in the night? Is their computer programed to send you a note when the suppy is gone? tdc

Well it was right I just got an Email from JBL. I am amazed how fast it sold out. I was told I was the first to call and they had just done the update not to worry we still have them???? Oh Well now I don't have to try to explain them what the hell I need another set of speakers for!
I ordered around 7:30 this am, [message #36898 is a reply to message #36896] Sat, 15 June 2002 15:06 Go to previous messageGo to next message

and got the "sold out" email by just after 1 pm...if you don't hear from them, I think you can assume they are ordered OK. The only time they have contacted me is when stuff is sold out; if the order goes thru OK, the stuff will just show up about a week later. That's when I fully believe the order was accepted, when the goods are in my hands!

The form confirmation just means that they have your info, not that they still have the items. hey, if you are the rascal that "got" "MY" 2345 horns last time...grrrr...did you ever hook them up?

It would not surprise me to find out they take the orders, throw them in a basket, and fill them at random till they run out of stuff, this whole deal feels too much like the lottery or epay at times. But JBL has the best deals ever :) Sam

I ordered around 9:30 PST and have not checked the e-mail on that computer. Proabably won't until Monday but I suspect that I didn't get them and will find an e-mail. I thought about ordering yesterday but was too tired and put it off. He who hesitates... Yes, I got the horns. Two weeks ago I bought the new JBL 2426H compression drivers and last week I started stringing resistors together in series -parallel or is it parallel- series, either way works for a 4 Pi. Maybe this week I will get it all running. I got delayed when I found the EV 12trxb speakers at Salvation Army and put those into living room condition. They are sooo sweet. Then I reworked an ESS Heil amt-Ia bookshelf. Also redid the x-over on a 1970 Hitachi JBL clone, a rare Bird called HS-500. SO I have been busy. Since I won't be doing the 2242 subs I will just have to finish the 4-pi. My family left for a one month tour of the Brazil Amazon rainforest areas so the neighbors are living in a state of acute decibel fear. They what happens to the sound levels when the homeroom monitors are gone. Stay tuned. tdc

The JBL "Tent Sale" URL is www.jblpro.com/Tent_Sale/sale_items.htm. But go to the parent address (www.jblpro.com) from time to time and look around, because this hasn't always been the same URL, if memory serves.
