Hey, Till E.,
Is that your 4 Pi project using JBL 3677's and changing out the M115's for 2226's??? If so, did you get the "H" or the "J" model (8 or 16 ohm)?. What mods did you perform to the cabinets (ie: bracing, removing foam from ports, etc)
I used the 2226J's and 1.2 mh coil (had one on hand, should use 1.4 mh). I used 1.6 khz hi-pass from Parts Express and 30 ohm and 15 ohm for comp circuit with .47 ufd (I wanted voiced little bit hotter than stock .33 ufd). I also removed the foam from the ports.
I'm looking at a project down the road, 2 - 4648's per channel(4 times 2226J's for 4 ohm/103db to 106db, crossed over to Altec 288C/16 ohm on Altec 311-60 horn biamped at 500 - 800 hz. I have Rane AC-22 so can play around with that part. The best part is using a old Knight (KN-715) single ended tube amp for 1-3 watts (6BQ5) for the 288's (115db/watt/16ohm) and sand amp for bottom. I will try and get my friend with digital camera to take pic's when done for posting.
Regards, Ron
