Hey guys, what is a good horn lense for the JBL 2426H operating down to 1 kHz? I'm considering the JBL 2370A but it is simply way too expensive.

So any suggestions? It is a 1" bolt on and I'm using it down to 1kHz.

Adam,
I am now using a copy of the 2370A made by P Speakers, a lot of pro shops use this brand. I do not have a 2426H on it, but it sounds great with the PSD 2002. I would love to have some JBL's though. The only difference I could see was the die seems were a little rough at the back of the throat. I used a small piece of 240 grit sandpaper to smooth it out. Now you can't tell the difference between the two. (I inspeacted them with a 2370 at the shop I bought them at) I paid about $82.00 each.

Follow the link and you will see that they are dead ringers.

they are the least expensive of any of the brand names. Parts express also carries some no name lenses but so far everyone is still wondering and not tried them. The peavey is a screw on and cost more.

Thanks Mike, but I need eight of them.

If I buy your two, I'm committed to buying six more at their rediculous price.

Hey, thanks Tom.

Do you have a website or anything like that where I can examine these things? I believe your word, but I'm taking the CD's down to 1 kHz, whereas the 2002's are only down to 1.5. I have to make sure the lenses will handle this well.

Also, are these the same flare type as the CH-3?

I'd like to keep the flare frequency in the 600-800 Hz range. I have to run the unit down to 1,000 Hz.
