I am interested in building the 2 Pi speakers. What is included in the kit? What kind of crossover is used? And how do they sound compared with the Adire 10.1's? I use a pair of Wave 8's.

Kits include the speaker drivers, the connector panel, hook up wires, "π" logo decal and a printed copy of the plans. For larger speakers that incorporate a compression tweeter and crossover network, kits also include the crossover, tweeter compensation cable assembly, Zobel woofer damper, and all cable assemblies are completed and ready to install. Every kit containing a compression driver also includes the horn flare and the bolts to mount the driver to the horn.

Wayne, is the Studio TwoPi bi-ampable stock and if not could it be ordered ready to bi-amp?

Since we build to order, we could easily use a dual-input connector, separating the inputs and isolating the drivers. We'd be happy to do that for you.

Towards what end? [message #36571 is a reply to message #36568] Wed, 22 May 2002 08:12 Go to previous message

We're talking about a speaker that uses no components exterior to the individual drivers as crossover, right? And if the tweeter's high impedance presents practically no load to the amplifier, what's to gain by biamping?
