Hello- I need some serious help- I've been trying for days to tune a box for an Omega pro (Eminence) 18" driver- I need it to go down to at least 38hz -3db up to say 300Hz, its for bass guitar. I cant seem to design anything below 58hz -3db and thats with a 2.253ft^3 enclosure tuned to 47.63 hz. Everything I try puts a hell of a spike at 58 hz and a 1.2db dip at 100hz. Its getting frustrating. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you so much- have a great day Mikeyboi

Hi going by filter theory a jammed BW would be ~4.1cu.ft and tuned to 47Hz with f3 of 47 and Be4 of same volume tuned to ~38hz with f3 of about 58hz - did you simulate for boxes in ~4-5cu.ft. range tuned about 1/3-1/2 octave above 30hz? - one guy says a Karlson's front chamber air mass will effectively shift qes upwards and fs downwards allowing a different response to be achieved than with regular VB Freddy

I can't do a simulation for you right now because my computer is messed up, but I'll tell ya right now that the low Q of the omega 18's will make them very difficult to get deep bass response out of them. However, if you send me an e-mail I'll get back to you as soon as my computer is running properly again. Can you use any different drivers than the omega 18"? Adam

My cab is about 4.812 ft^3 tuned to 47hz-- Still can't get a good flow- Is it true that the human ear cant perceive anything under 3db in change? - Its frustrating paying 200 clams for a speaker and not getting the performance youd expect- I know better now. Thanks so much for your help everyone
