I cut up a $50 4X8 of veneered Birch today, beautiful on the outisde. After the second cut I looked down and the plywood and split, right between the 2nd and 3rd ply, all 48" the ply's just seperated about 1" and about 10" making a really tall narrow Y when look at from the side. I did my best to glue and clamp one half. I'm gonna go back to the place I got em from and make em give me another one.

The skil saw cutting guide I bought rocked though, I've never had such staight cuts.

Question, once I get it all cut and ready, any reccomendations for glue? And how about application (brush? sponge? index finger?) (I'm doing 3/8" rabbit joints).

horrible grammar in that last post. leme fix it.

I cut up a $50 4X8 of veneered Birch today, beautiful on the outisde. After the second cut I looked down and the plywood had split, right between the 2nd and 3rd ply. All 48 inches the ply's just seperated about 1" and about 10" down, making a really tall narrow 'Y' when looked at from the side. I did my best to glue and clamp one half. I'm gonna go back to the place I got it from and make em give me another one.

I'm exited though.
