Greetings,
I just did some in room measurements with a Motorola ksn1188 with a 5x15 CH-3 copy horn in order to choose a crossover to pialigned eminence 12LT woffers I already own.
Theses were my results based on the average efficientcy.
800hz FLAT
630hz FLAT
500hz -18db
400hz -27db
315hz -31db
These measurements were consistant in both near feild and my normal listening seat with the speakers in 3 differant locations, I also used a reference set of speakers to check for any room interactions and found none (in this frequency range),I was very suprized to see these horns went that low and rolled off that steep. The only real problem I found was a dip at about 5khz that showed up in all the tests.
Here's my question, using the natural roll off of this horn and a crossover on the 12LT woofer only I've heard of 12db crossovers at 700hz used with this tweeter positive results, would it be wise to try a higher order crossover at about 500hz,and if so what are some suggested values for the components based on my test.
Thank's
Mike H.

If you are using a PartsExpress horn, what is the part number?
Also, is the 5KHz dip audible? Annoying?
What's your opinion overall on the setup?
