The plans you sent me were for the fourPi Theater with Delta woofer. From what I can gather the 1188 is listed at 93db but is closer to 96db. Wouldn't the Alpha be a better match? Would I need to do something about that nasty peak at 2k?

The electro-mechanical parameters of the Alpha and Delta drivers is different but the average broadband efficiency is nearly the same. There is a slight padding difference between models, but not very much. The peaks up high are due to breakup modes and you should crossover lower than that. If you'll crossover below 2kHz, you will not have the peaks from breakup modes.
