Well, my shipment from Parts Express came today. When opening the box in front of my wife I could hardly contain the "ooohs and aahhhs." Now I'm just waiting on the CH-3s. I know I can't be the only one that gets this way... right?

When you get your speakers done, put in the DVD for the movie Matrix and watch the whole thing. Whether you've seen it a half a dozen times or not - Just watch it with your newly-built Theater Series four π speakers. Run 'em up to 20 or 40 watts. OK?

Then tell me what you and your wife think.

Even better than the Matrix..... [message #34946 is a reply to message #34943] Thu, 31 January 2002 03:28 Go to previous messageGo to next message

After she sees how big these things are I'll be lucky if she lets me put them in the living room that one time. The Theater 4 Pis are actually going to be mated with some SET amps and have a home in the (quite nicely) finished basement, which will end up being my "listening room." I'll be keeping the Paradigm surround setup in the living room for movies (they're much smaller). The funny thing is that the Pis will be able to go lower than the subwoofers I have in that system. I'll definitely have to give it a try at least that once. Now if I could only talk her into letting me build five of them, and put up a projector...
I remember seeing that in the theater... [message #34948 is a reply to message #34946] Thu, 31 January 2002 03:40 Go to previous messageGo to next message

I couldn't help thinking it seemed like two completely different movies with the same cast. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but it seemed a bit odd in that regard.

The bloodiest "chick" movie ever, but best soundtrack...... [message #34949 is a reply to message #34946] Thu, 31 January 2002 05:11 Go to previous messageGo to next message
