What flavor of PSD2002 is "best" (i.e. most reliable, best sound, etc.): the screw on or 3 bolt? Also, could the designs be adapted to use the 16 ohm version of the PSD2002 instead of 8 ohm? Thanks in advance.

These PSD2002 and PSD2002S are the same with exception of mounting method. You must use the (S) version with the Peavey CH-3; The bolt-on ("non-S") version is what you need for the H290. As for use of a 16 ohm driver, you'll need to change the values of R1, R2 and C1.

If you're just considering the use of an 8 ohm woofer - As many people have indicated they wish to do because of JBL's "tent sale" 2226J's - I recommend that you do as indicated in the previous post called "Здравствуйте товарищ". About halfway down the post, I discuss what I would do to incorporate a 16 ohm "tent sale" woofer using the π crossover circuit.
