I've taken a fancy to building a Theater 4 Pi
and want to find prices on the needed parts.

At http://www.partsexpress.com/ I found these
components:

EMINENCE DELTA-15A 15" DRIVER 8 OHM. Catalog # 290-418
EMINENCE pxb-1k6 HIGH PASS CROSSOVER BOARD 1,600 Hz. Catalog # 290-600
EMINENCE H290 HORN LENS BI-RADIAL 90x40. Catalog # 290-554
EMINENCE PSD2002-8 HORN DRIVER 3 BOLT 8 OHM. Catalog # 290-442

Are these correct?

Thanks.

The pxbII-1K6 crossover, Parts Express part number 290-634 should be procured rather than the one you've shown. The one you list is a high pass (tweeter) filter only and the one I've suggested is a two-way (woofer/tweeter) filter.

Also, you'll need:

019-020 8 ohm 100W non-inductive resistor (R3 - one per speaker)
027-436 20uF, 250V polypropylene capacitor (C5 - one per speaker)
004-016 16 ohm, 10W non-inductive resistor (R1 & R2 - eight per speaker, combined as series/parallel network)
027-458 0.47, 400V polypropylene bypass capacitor (C1 - one per speaker)

I came up with a raw parts cost of about $221
for one Theater 4 Pi. Does this look correct?

All from http://www.partsexpress.com

Parts for Theater 4 Pi
-----------------------
290-418 Eminence Delta 15A $67
290-442 Eminence PSD2002 $62
290-554 Eminence H290 horn $30
290-634 Eminence pxb2-1k6 crossover $32
67 + 62 + 30 + 32 = 191

Separate crossover parts
------------------------
019-020 8 ohm 100W non-inductive resistor (R3 - one per speaker) $11.50
027-436 20uF, 250V polypropylene capacitor (C5 - one per speaker) $4.95
004-16 16 ohm, 10W non-inductive resistor (R1 & R2 - eight per speaker) $1.50
027-458 0.47, 400V polypropylene bypass capacitor (C1 - one per speaker) $1.38
11.50 + 5 + (8*1.50) + 1.50 = $30

Total 191 + 30 = 221

Check out Peavey CH-3 horn, looks better in proportion to cabinet.
Was the recommended horn when I built mine.

I don't see Peavey equipment at PartsExpress.
Do you know any online sources?
I live in Denver, CO and will track down pro. sound
dealers in the area.

Thanks

Music Sound World in Tulsa, home of Professor Parham, himself.
Call Maury at 800-875-8663, they had stock when local dealers couldn't even order them.
