The JBL 2235 works well in boxes from 2.5 cubic feet to 10 cubic feet, tuned from 20Hz to 30Hz. When used as a full range woofer, like in a two-way or three-way loudspeaker, I would suggest 2.5 cubic feet to 5.0 cubic feet, tuned from 25Hz to 30Hz. But as a subwoofer, a larger box tuned lower gives EBS response.
