Hi All,

This album is recorded in mono. Normally this would turn me off but this is an exception. Both music and recording are exemplary. If you like Louie Armstrong then this is a must have. Great music, great recording. I have the double lp (see link) but I liked the music so much that I just ordered the SACD. I will let you know if the SACD is as good.

Enjoy!

Nice post Mr V; thats a great album. The Japanese have come out with a whole repretoir of re-mastered Jazz legends on the Past Perfect Label that is so well done that you can listen for hours. Les Brown; Louis A; Skitch Hendersen, Art Tatum; the list is 35 artists long. I wouldn't mention these since there are so many re-mastered labels of that old stuff out there but these are done so well.

Spent many a night in W. C. Handy Park on Beale just listening to the old blues guys. Ain't nothin' like the delta blues.

Also, worked with a guy a few years back whom was president of the Saint Louis Area Blues Association. He knew them ALL. Must have had thousands of obscure blues albums/CDs.
