The Alpha 10 works best in cabinets from 1 to 5 cubic feet tuned to 40Hz. The Alpha 12 should be used either on infinite or open baffles or in boxes larger than 4 cubic feet tuned to 25Hz.

The PiAlign recommended cabinet for the Alpha 10 is 1.4 cubic feet tuned to 40Hz using a 1.85" diameter, 2" long port. Its suggestion for the Alpha 12 cabinet is 4.7 cubic feet tuned to 25Hz using a 2.4" diameter, 1.2" long port.

How can it be that Eminence alpha 12 requires volume of 138 liters for vented enclosure if Eminence kappa 15 requires less-- only 110 liters for vented enclosure ?

The Alpha 12 has much higher Q. As a result, it needs an unusually large cabinet. As I said earlier, an infinitely large box - the infinite baffle - is a good way to run this driver. You can mount it on the wall, allowing the area between walls and the attic to be the "cabinet".
