Hi Wayne-

Several months back you were nice enough to send me plans for the pro series pi 4's. I just signed up for a woodworking class at a local junior college, and have decided to take on the more ambitious project - the pro pi 7's (I have the suitable room corners). Would it be possible to now receive these plans?

Thans again for all of your helpful posts. I feel like monitoring your site like receiving a free college degree in speaker design!

I forgot to mention that I will be using the eminence hf driver and flare (i have already purchased them). I have a low power (8W) SET amp that I'll be driving them with.

You have mail!

These speakers will work very well with your SET amp. The things you want are high efficiency and flat impedance curve, and these speakers have that.

SET amps with no feedback tend to have low damping factors, which translates to relatively high output impedance. The load impedance sets up a voltage divider with output impedance, and if the load impedasnce changes with frequency, then the voltage across the load varies with frequency. This affects the amplitude response. In addition, output impedance interacts with speaker electro-mechanical parameters, and can change the tuning a little bit. So the speaker load is very important to a SET amplifier, more so than higher power amps with higher damping factors.
