Many of us have noticed that without compensation networks, our tweeter horns are significantly louder than our bass horns, but they also lack linearity in the top octave. They're very "honky" and heavy in the midrange. If we haven't noticed - it's either because we've never run the tweeters without compensation installed or we are completely and totally deaf. After adding the compensation network, you won't believe the difference. Your horn's response will be pretty linear, and it will really sound good. The cost of this network is less than ten or twenty bucks per speaker. So don't omit this very important part!
