Sometime in the next year I expect to be looking for a pair of A-7 500's bought complete. If you have a pair and are thinking of selling them without taking every nut and screw apart to sell separately on ebay, let me know. They will have to be shipped or trucked which I will arrange for - I have driven several states to pick up a group before.

Durn! eBay has a pair for $2k in excellent condition. If I were not a poor man they would be mine. Well, it proves that it can be done - which is what I wanted to know.

Look for auctions in your area. Old schools that have been closed are a good place to "score." I showed up 5 minutes after a pair went for about $100. I was not happy

Great idea, thanks. I wouldn't think most schools would have the brains or the bucks to have used A-7s in the first place, but strange things do happen. I'll keep my ears up.

Thanks! Neat link. No action in my area, but found out a number of auctioneers.

Wow! That's the difference between the (decadent) East and the MN north woods.

Can anyone beat a pair of rebuilt (including paint) A-7-500s delivered to my door, set up and tested for $850 each? If you can, act fast. I'm drooling.
