I simply can`t use this program - if I click anything (say "RUN SIMULATION"), PC freezed. I tried re-instalations, etc., but to no avail. I have Windows 98, I don`t have enough knowledge about programing/PC to find what`s wrong. Any idea?

Don`t help, I tried a few times. I must find some friend with "accurate" PC to try some simulations. I have 360-0-360 V + 2x5V/3A -300VA toroid, Rpr=3,9 Ohms, Rsec=26+26 Ohms (total R~36 Ohms). LCLC, first choke 10H/130 Ohms, second 10H/275 Ohms. I planed first C=270uF/450V electrolitic, and second 50uf/330V AC motor run cap. If you have some time, please try it, I calculated various ripples/Q/fres/Uout all afternoon "by hand". Load about 75mA, tube 5V4G or GZ34, maybe 5R4.
Yes, I`ll try it these days in real life, but like to calculate/simulate it first...the goal is about 300V output.
P.S. Is anything better with 0,22+0,22uF before and after the first choke, by M. Jones?

With a GZ34 I get an output voltage of 280. First LC stage shows ~300V. I can run some more variations and post results if you wish.

The high DCR of the second choke is costing you. 100 mA through 100R is 10V. So ~300 R, and 70 mA and you have done yourself out of 20 volts. If you could keept he DCR of both chokes to ~150R you'd get your 300V( I think ).

Huh, I know, but thanks anyway... Those are the only chokes I have now. One of these days I`ll solder it all together and try "in real" what I can do with the parts I have...you know, SE project (evil laugh:-))...
