Digikey has these at $0.66 if we buy enough for all (20 parts.) Would you guys like me go ahead and order. I can also get the LED's at the same time. Maybe I'll have $20 (min. order w/ no surcharge) when all totaled.....Colin

If you are generously offering to do so I for one would be very gratefull. Have you factored in the shipping to each one of us. If that is acceptable then put me down and let me know what the final amount is including the shielded wire. Thanks and please allow for something for me to do also, whatever needs doing that you can think of. J.R.

Don't worry about the cost. A VERY small price to pay for the friendship.....Colin

just make sure it is the N5, TO-220 version. The TO-92 won't stand the heat. However, since the N5 is only needed for the 'top' MOSFET, you can split between the N3 for the 'bottom' of the cascode, and use the heatsinked( and more expensive ) N5 on 'top'.

As I could use some of the N3's ( and Mouser stopped stocking them ), thanks for the notice on that source. If they are seling the N5 for 66-cents, I will buy a *BIG* sack of them....
regards,
Douglas

Digikey's part number DN2540 was a small inductor for $0.66. My bad.

However, Mouser does carry the DN2540 (Supertex MOSFETs - Depletion Mode N-Channel TO-220 400V 25Ohm) at $1.83 (

The mouser PN is the one. They may require a 50 piece order. If so, count me in for a few...

I'll place an order for 20 DN2540 tomorrow. This should be enough for 5 preamps (4 per pre). When I get them in I'll send to each member by ground mail. Please email (colinhester(at)yahoo.com) me your real name and mailing address.....Colin
