Are there music recordings being mixed to 7.1 now, and is 7.1 mainly on the BluRay and HD formats? I haven't noticed it mentioned on any DVDs yet.

I know a friend with a 7.1 amp, but I think he's only set up for 5.1 now.

Most music is still recorded in stereo, and all the audiophiles I know still have two-channel sound systems for high-quality audio. Multi-channel setups seem to be used mostly for home theater.
