Does anyone have a design using single lab horns? I am very interested in using a pair of these, but not with two in each box. Cost and weight are serious factors here. I love the idea of a folded horn and these speakers look like they go pretty low. Thanks for any responses.

Check the Fitzmaurice forum - He does prosound horns with single woofers. I think Mike E. (toxicport) has plans for a horn using a single LAB12 too.

There are a few options the lab driver isnt that great used on its own. Try looking here for a design utilising the lab http://photofile.ru/default/do.php?id=3426459#sm

There is also the punisher for a 12" ciare driver http://www.iven.nl/kastontwerpen/punisher.htm

Other than that the Tuba 30 on bills forum is for a 12" not the lab driver tho!

The LAB12 driver makes an excellent bass-reflex subwoofer in a 2.0ft3 to 5.0ft3 cabinet tuned to 20Hz. When you consider that output in the bottom octave of all the popular subs is direct radiation anyway, it makes a lot of sense for hifi use. But for prosound above 40Hz, a folded horn will obviously provide more output.
