For venues up to 200 Hz for vocal and non-bass instrument the DR200s are fine; they're what I use with my 4 piece R&B band. They're useable to 80 Hz, which is adequate again for vocals and instruments but not electric bass or kick-drums; in small rooms I don't bother running those through the PA. If you want to have that capabilty use the DR250a- that will handle the bass instruments just fine; I use one for my bass, alone in small rooms, along with a Tuba 24 in large venues.
All my plans go for $9.95, including photos and instructions,at www.billfitzmaurice.com.
