Does anyone know the manufacturer's part # for the 10K pot (I believe)that controls the Transition Level on the 3BX III Dynamic Range Expander?
Any info on this matter would greatly be appreciated.

Is it oddly shaped? Would a generic potentiometer not work?

It is not really oddly in shape, Radioshack has a generic one but slightly too big to fit on the board. Plus the knob is too long.
DBXPro was able to provide the name of the company (Musician Services Center) that brought out the old stock and manuals.
Hopefully, they have this item in stock.

Many generic potentiometers have a very long shaft, around 2". Most people cut the shaft down to size with a hacksaw. This lets the part be useful for a variety of applications and panel thicknesses.

I have already contacted them, they no longer support this product
Their old stock of parts & manuals for the older DBX units were sold to a company call Musicians Service Center.
Contact info were provided, they also could not help since they do not have any info on the 3BX III.
