Usually amps are pretty tolerant of load impedance - up to a point. Tube amps sometimes don't like high impedance loads and transistor amps don't like low impedance loads. Usually you have about a 0.5x to 2.0x "window" of values that will work, so if the amp is rated for 8Ω it is probably fine with loads from about 4Ω to 16Ω.
