I'm wanting to swap the old speakers in my combo.Do the replacement have to match the old ones in watts/ohms exactly? I have a 120 watt combo with 2-120 watt/16ohm speakers that I usually run at 4 ohms in conjunction with a 2x12 extension cabinet with 2- 65watt/8ohm speakers. I only want to change the combos out, but am confused about what rating speaker I should get to use with & without th extension cab???

Usually amps are pretty tolerant of load impedance - up to a point. Tube amps sometimes don't like high impedance loads and transistor amps don't like low impedance loads. Usually you have about a 0.5x to 2.0x "window" of values that will work, so if the amp is rated for 8Ω it is probably fine with loads from about 4Ω to 16Ω.
