OK...i just bought this tsl on ebay....i've gotten tons of gear for me and many friends on Ebay and this is the first time i got a bad deal.

Obviously it was listed in "excellent" condition. As you probably guessed, the footswitch was useless immediately. These footswitches are poorly made.

The problem is...it sounds like i have a noise gate on. The amp fades out and then comes back in again. The Marshall tech at the local music store said he was certain it was the tubes...as it turns out, it's not. So he looked at the Circuit board and he said it was tampered with. He said it looks as though someone either tried to modify it or Marshall changed something in the design in production but he believes the problem lies here.

If anyone has any idea what i'm talking about let me know....I know nothing about electronics, i just play the guitar, but i can pass along info to the guy trying to repair this damn thing

Thanks

I hope your repair guys knows electronics. I'm betting this isn't
an easy repair. You'll need the schematic and at least a meter,
a 'scope would be better. Its a debug job and will require a
methodic approach. Good luck. If you have something more
specific, let us know.i
