I have been experamenting with this design for about 4 years.There are many benifits.The sound at the listening posion can be much louder than off axis.Great for late nights.Controled directivity allows for amazing imaging in sweet spot.Also loads the room with even pressure ,except in sweet spot about 6db greater level there.You can move arround and not lose the stereo image even when right in front of rt or left side speaker.Massive dynamic range.Always sounds at ease no matter what volume level.Maybe some others would like to try it out .Much listening fun
