Saw an ad for a Yamaha C-80 preamp [message #26576]

So I drove to Portland to look at it. It's 110 miles one way so I had already found out he had a M-80 amp also. The C-8- works great but the M-80 is dead so I got it for fixing his Maggies. It'll cost me the price of a kit to repair the tweeters and then I have to get the amp fixed.

I've never had an amp with more than 75 watts until this came along. It should have plenty of power for my Maggies if I can get it fixed.

If I can get my wife to bring home a digital camera I'll take a few pictures of it and post them. I was surprised at how heavy it is. It seems to weigh about 45-50lbs.
