I had posted this on another forum as well. On the other site a person had correctly identified it as an Electro-Therapeutic Wall Cabinet, minus the cabinet. It was used from 1905 - 1920. It really makes for an interesting discussion topic. I included a link to The Bakken Library and Museum where there is one on display. If I'm correct, it was used for cauterizing through inducted heat.
