I have two Clinton radios, models 194 and 153, that I need schematics on. I have had no luck finding anything on these models, and have found very little about the Clinton Mfg. Co. Can anyone help? CS.
Hi Wayne. Both are wood, tabletop and same tube lineup: 6d6,6c6,43,25z5. The 153 is bw/sw with a k55c ballast. the 194 is bw only with a k55b ballast. My problem is with the electrolytics. Both have unmarked rectangular paper multi-caps. The 153 has 7 wires;3 black, 4 brown. The 194 multi-cap has been changed at some point as it has 6 leads with only 5 connected and the leads have been taped at mid-wire connections. I am new to old radios and don't want to try to guess at these values. The 194 is listed in Steins Tabletop Vol.1, p-48. Thanks for your response. Spencer CS

Power supply electrolytics can be made arbitrarily large. Most are only 20uF-50uF but pretty high voltage, usually 250v or 450v. You can swap them with polypropylene or electrolytic capacitors, the bigger the better.
Thanks a bunch Wayne. You mentioned OEM mfg's which I hadn't thought of. I went through a number of Riders and found maybe 50 different schem's using that lineup. I didn't find an exact match but several were close enough to give me an idea of values. I have tried to measure other multicaps after removing them but most were nowhere near the stated values. I'm learning. Thanks. Spencer CS
