Active or passive as my sub as the amp is fed by RCA outs from the head unit.

Most Sub amps have their own Active low pass filter in them.

-i presume the HU out is Fullrange, non low passed.

If its a low pass (bass pre out) then you wont need a filter on your bass amplifier.

Hi:
My Head unit has full range RCA pre-outs. My amp is not a sub amp thus the requirement for an external crossover/low pass filter.
