Does any one know what is the specification and frequency response of the drivers in a Bose 901? I was thinking, if they were of decent quality, measured decently, they may be of use in a line array. Each cabinet has 10, four inch full range drivers, total of 20 units, and the system comes with a equilizer of some sorts. Through away the cabinets, build new line array cabinets, use the raw drivers and this may make a decent system? But I do not know if the drivers are worthy the time and effort. Any comments? I saw several adds on Ebay for 901’s from $125 to $200 along other adds selling individual drivers cheep.

There have been several versions of the drivers used in all models of Bose speakers over the years. I don't have specs for any of them, but I do know they've changed drivers a lot so you'll need to know what specific driver you have to discuss performance or tuning parameters.
