Another way is to remove some (50%) of the spider. Not adding mass is better for speed and effency. I did this and the driver went lower. The power handeling is lower since the x max is reached sooner. But the driver sound breakes up before this happens. I have a 16/ side array. The only thing I did to the drivers I am using was remove the dust cap and add a plug.
