I just noticed this new design for a mini array of 4 FF85K drivers used open baffle with a dual woofer BR box on the bottom. Whats the sound quality likely to be. Will the combing with 3" drivers be acceptable? If not, what are they thinking?

I made a stack with the nsb drivers. 4/ side. Sounded good. I think that if the differences in the distance from each of the drivers to the listeners ear is small the phase cancelation is small. And the combing is small. I did not hear much combing.

I have ordered the fostex drivers for the top half (before I saw the post). I am not sure what I will do with the low fq section yet. I may also roll of the top at 5k or so and add a tweeter.

They are very good sounding drivers.
