The article just went to the publisher so I'd guess 3 to 4 months. The Rat Shacks may be OK; what do they have for Qts and Fs? This box is a hybrid of an array and a TL, so Qts and Vas are required to determine compatability. It's also only designed to go to 80 Hz, so keep that in mind also.

I'd like to say that the site will be up momentarily but cannot; it should have been up at least a month ago. I've given up on the outfit that I engaged to do the job and am now looking for a different webhost.

It was made by fostex it's the fe 103 stamped on the back [message #22161 is a reply to message #22160] Fri, 16 July 2004 08:02 Go to previous messageGo to next message

I'm not sure if the Rat Shack model is the same driver as the Fostex catalog unit, and a lot depends on vintage. I remember the Rat Shack FE103 was an acoustic suspension midbass back in 1968, and I don't think it's that one. Anyway, the current Fostex has an Fs of 80Hz and Qts of .35, so if yours are close to those specs they would work in my TLAH pretty flat down to 100 Hz. At the other end the off-axis starts getting hinky above 6kHz, the same as the drivers I used, so it's close enough there also.
