Originally seen in the gallery at Full Range Driver Forum and inspired by the Nautilus. The guy is whistling in the dark for what he wants to charge to make one. Looks like the whole assembly can be done for maybe $20, less driver used.
I've made long pipes with PVC but never took the next mental step to use lots of corner connectors to get the size down but keep the length.
Only problem I had with mine for the RS 1197 was lack of soundstage. I felt that some sort of baffle is needed.

Kevin, I sent a mail to the guy and asked for some measures.
I can see some design potential for subwoofers as well. It's prob'y worthwhile to float the idea over at DIY audio in the single driver forum too. They are real project maniacs.

I'll give it a shot.

I have a bunch of the fittings from my last PVC speaker build so it's more a matter of recutting the straight sections. Using 4in PVC you can make a baffle out of a toilet flange.
Plus the PVC is rigid-- it won't uncoil or lose shape once assembled.
The builder and some of the crew at DIY Audio have taken up the discussion.
