I have a couple of Beta 8 pairs and a pair of Flat 10 drivers.

They sound very very good, the Flat series is not strong enough for horns, but great in reflex.

The Beta´s on the other hand, really lives in a horn.

I plan on making a multi channel setup using Beta 8 drivers.

Thank you.

Does anyone have Thiel Small params for the betas?  I would like (in case this camp homeboy could ever aspire) to know what sort of a load to plan for these paragons.

Regards,

Poinz

I only have TS parms for my own drivers, and as you can see they vary quite alot with age, so you have to measure the TS.

That's as bad as Lowthers! Factor of 2 in major parameters, how you going to design a load for them as a group?

'Kin 'ell, mate,

I think I´ll stick to the original Coral horn, or design something similar.

I´ve played around with a Lowther Acousta and a Lowther Fidelio cabinet with these drivers, and they don´t sound the same, but still very close and has the same qualities.

I think they might be from different production lines.

The newest pair had a bit more bass, while the oldest was more musical and mellow.

But still, they are the best speakers I have ever owned, and the build quality is really something else compared to Lowthers.

Regards
Kim
