Good one, and If pirates somehow get access to the "music" by some "scratching machine", they only get "frequency distorted" signal, or about -20 dB/20Hz & +20 dB/20kHz referred at 1kHz.

Jokes aside, music industry wants someone to pay the same money for the CD as 20 years ago, doesn`t matter what band, etc.
Even today, there are some people who actually buy CDs?!:-)

Unfortunately, I am still buying CDs and still averaging 2-3 a week. Doesn't sound like much but when you average it out over a 15 year period, it's a problem.
