Thanks to all for your input. I am not really sure what I am searching for but I'll know it when I hear it. I can do some DIY, soldering and putting things together is OK. SET looks like the way to go but I haven't ruled out other options either. As for speaks, I am leaning towards transmission line or ported but small horns are a possibility.
