I completed them this afternoon and they are playing now, driven by my Bottlehead Paramours. Not bad sounding at all! The midrange is a bit ragged but the bass is much stronger than I anticipated. Photos documenting the construction process are at http://fredt300b.smugmug.com/gallery/147575

I measured the in room response with my Radio Shack meter at the listening position. Using 200hz as the reference, the increments below 200 are: 160: +1.5dB 120: -1.0 100: +0.5 80: +1.5 60: +2.0 50: -6.0

Very nice job on the Pipes. And a great tip on making the routed MDF paintable. Matinelli, Epstien and I had a discussion about that over in "Craftsmen". But I'm really sitting here with my mouth hanging open over everything else but the speakers. The beautiful cabinetwork in the house, the amazing collection of antiques, and the shop. Damn! What a shop! Fred, it looks like it's very, very good to be you!
