Shopping a pair fo Coral flat 10 speakers---one has a damaged cone ( a ragged rip but no lost material as it could be glued and be a solid scar) Questions ---are patched cones OK?--should I pass and move on to other items ??? These were reccommended as very nice FRD's--dthoughts? comments?

If the price is right try'em, I've repaired woofers, and midrange drivers with ripped cones using super glue with no problems. Just don't use any glue with heavy consistancy on the cone because it can add mass and shift the T/S parameters. On full range drivers though you might want to get a signal generator and do a freq. response sweep on them to see if it changes after the repair, compared to the good one, if it does then it's time for a recone anyway.
